How does the amount of water affect seed sprouting?

What students do

A school garden needs a watering plan. Compare seed groups that receive different amounts of water.

  1. Place ten seeds on the same type of damp paper in each cup.
  2. Give each cup its assigned amount of water each day.
  3. Keep light, temperature, seed type, and time the same.
  4. Count how many seeds sprout after seven days.
